Mechanical Engineering in Ancient Egypt, Part X: Pottery Industry (Middle to New Kingdoms)

This research paper explores the development of mechanical engineering in terms of the development of the pottery industry during the era from the Middle Kingdom to the New Kingdom. The development of the pottery design and decoration is traced with samples of pottery ware are presented and analyzed. The decoration technique of the pottery ware during the period from the Middle to the New Kingdoms is investigated with samples. Different kinds of pottery ware are outlined with description of their main parts.
