A FPGA-based ship power quality monitoring and analysis device
Modern ships are developing toward large-scale and intelligent ones, which making the size and density of the ship power systems bigger and larger. Thus it becomes increasingly demand for reliability, security and economy of ship power system. However, the extensive use of various non-linear electrical load brings the ship power grid harmonics, phase imbalance of power pollution. This often leads to the deterioration of the ship power quality. Therefore, how to improve ship power quality and ensure ship power system operation normally has become the focus of the shipbuilding industry. To improve the observable of the ship power grid, this paper studied grid power quality and developed a FPGA-based ship power quality monitoring and analysis device which could real-time monitoring of power quality parameters.At last, this paper analyzes the experimental results of the monitoring and analysis device. The experimental results prove the correctness of the design. In addition, comparative tests are done between this device and standard instrument. This device test results satisfy the requirement of measure accuracy
